Following on from the release of “Somewhere to Go”, we have launched an international series of EPs, reflecting the truly international nature of Tehmussin activities. We have 2 EPs coming together that go hand in hand and will share some music and musicians, these being “Desert Songs” and “Tehmussin’s Rebetika”. “Desert Songs” will contain all new material and will obviously feature some Arabian musical influences, particularly in the rhythm section. But we are also experimenting with ideas for mixing Greek instrumentation with the Arabian influences. The currently planned song line up is: 1. Riyadh 2. Jumeira 3. Desert Rose 4. These Missing Hours 5. Desert Guy Like Me Desert songs will feature Arabic and English lyrics. Songs are written in and/or relate to our experiences in several Arabian countries, particularly the UAE, KSA and Egypt, at least for the moment. We also have experiences in the Lebanon, Syria and Oman waiting in the wings. Early days yet. Apart from anything else, we are in the progress of upgrading our recording studio equipment.
